Interior living room paint colors.

Hiring a professional painter is an exciting step, and at Werner Design Painting, we take pride in the exceptional care we put into every project to ensure your experience is the best it can be. We are truly grateful for our clients and deeply appreciate the trust they place in us when welcoming our team into their homes. Below are a few steps you can take to prepare your home or space for painting.

Wall Hangings:

Please remove all nails or picture hangers unless you would like the items rehung in the same location. This will help us identify which holes need to be filled before painting. If we are painting closets please make sure all clothing and miscellaneus items are removed. Our painters are clean but its easy to not realize we may have wet paint on us and we could ruin your items.

Make Sure Pets Are Safely Contained:

Many of our clients have beloved pets they consider family. For the safety of both your pets and our team, please ensure all pets are securely contained during the project. This will also help prevent any unintended paint paw prints or tail marks throughout the house.

Paint Colors:

Choose your paint colors ideally one week before the work begins. Please send me the color name and code via text or email. Including the paint code is important, as different manufacturers may use the same name for different shades of paint.

Ensure Easy Access to Your Home:

Consider how we will gain entry to your home if you are not available (e.g., spare key, garage opener, neighbor letting us in, etc.). This will help ensure a smooth start to the project without any delays.

Designate a Bathroom for Use:

Please specify which bathroom we may use during the project. This helps keep the work area organized and ensures we have access to the necessary facilities throughout the day.

Remove All Breakables:

Werner Design Painting will move large items, such as furniture, to the center of the room. However, please remove all breakable items from cabinets and shelves if they are to be moved. We cannot be held responsible for any items left behind, so it’s best to ensure everything is safely stored before we begin.

Prepare All Rooms if Multiple Rooms Are Being Painted:

If multiple rooms are being painted, please ensure that all rooms are ready for us to work in. It may not be feasible to complete one room at a time due to drying time between coats of paint, drywall repairs, and other factors. Rest assured, any rooms worked in will be cleaned up before the end of the day.

By following these simple guidelines, we can ensure that the painting process goes smoothly and efficiently. We look forward to transforming your space. Should you have any questions or need further assistance with preparations, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We can’t wait to get started!
